Large, extremely well located apartment with stunning Acropolis views

A secure, fully air conditioned apartment with three large bedrooms, a big lounge and a great view of the Acropolis. On check-in the host was extremely helpful explaining things, providing local tips and answering all of our questions. The location was close to transport, shops, restaurants and lots of tourist attractions.

My family of three loved this 2-bedroom, very spacious apartment, located about three blocks from the heart of the Psiri district with its pedestrian streets and dozens of restaurants, shops and monuments. Perfect location if you want to be near a tourist center but also experience a bit more of authentic Athens. It includes a huge, wraparound balcony with nice views of the Acropolis. The property is nicely furnished and appointed, and highly professionally managed. We will definitely return to this apartment whenever we next get the chance to visit Athens.

Wonderful apartment in a great location

This apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay in Athens. It had a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and two large sized bedrooms, with block out shutters on all main windows. A bit of noise from the street still filters in of a night, but it wasn't too much bother. The process for check in and out was easy and emails were responded to very quickly. It's an easy walk to restaurants and attractions, a view of the acropolis from the front steps of the apartment building, and a sightseeing bus stop is just around the corner. We were wrapped with its location and presentation of the apartment. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Wow, the view of the Acropolis from the balcony is just fantastic - especially at sunset and at night. It took just five minutes to walk to the site too with a huge choice of restaurants and shops on the way. July is very hot so the air conditioning was very welcome and the apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Costas gave us a great introduction to the local area and the taxi pick up service made everything very easy. Love Athina!

Wonderful!

Excellent location. Walking distance to everything. Friendly staff that organised our taxi from the airport and to the ferry for our next trip. Taxi driver Mike was so helpful. Told us all about the different locations and places to go. The apartment is very basic but clean and had everything we needed for our short stay in Athens :)

Such a gracious host!

Dean was such a gracious host! They arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and drove us directly to the apartment. There Costas met us to give us a little tour of the neighborhood and good places to eat, see the acropolis and general tips on the area. The apartment location was fantastic. We were a short walk to the downtown area that had everything we needed. The place was clean, well organized and had the essentials such as coffee, milk, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, etc. If we are ever back in Athens, I will look them up to stay again.

Convenient central Athens location

These clean well appointed apartments are central to restaurants and the Acropolis, but on a quiet street. A short walk to the Metro at Monastiraki Station then takes you quickly to any part of Athens. The office is next door and the staff are VERY helpful. We were even given a walking tour of the neighborhood to be sure and know where to get groceries and other services. We especially liked the restaurant and ice cream recommendations. Our favorite gelato was at Da Vinci's. It is a MUST try!!

Fantastic apartment & location

Our stay at this fantastic apartment was at the end of our time in Greece. We were a party of 6 adults and were really looking forward to the space this location offered and the convenience of staying together. Prior to arriving Boutique Athens staff were incredibly helpful. The staff arranged our transportation from the Port to the apartment and to the airport at the end of our stay. Yannis met us at the apartment and went over everything including offering directions to the small markets, larger market, and dining options. You can see the Acropolis from the great balcony off the living room - It is stunning. The location was so convenient and we walked to everything. The entrance of the apartment is located on a quiet street shared with the Presidential gardens and the back is on the main road. We didn't find the street noise to be excessive. The amenities were perfect and the beds were probably the most comfortable of our entire trip. Thank you Boutique Athens for making our last days in Greece so enjoyable and easy.

After excellent communication with Lia, who helped us with transportation too, we were very positively surprised at the quality of everything inside. Really impressive interior, well equipped and maintained. The place is located on the rear slopes of the Lycabettus hill, so there is a bit of a steep walk, but it is less than a mile from where Athens' attractions start. We really enjoyed our stay and wholeheartedly recommend it.

A great place to stay in Athens! central to great bars, cafes and restaurants, and an easy walk to the Acropolis and the Athens Central Market. a very friendly welcome included a quick walk around the neighbourhood, which was very helpful in getting us oriented. the apartment was as described, and very clean and spacious. to top it all off, the beds were some of the most comfortable we've slept on during our travels!

Great location for seeing all Athens

Was exactly what we were looking for. Basically in the center of city. Could walk to the sights in 15 minutes or less. Lots of shopping and restaurants around. Subway station within 5 minutes. Need to advise though. This residence is older but has lots of character that adds to your Athens stay. Would stay here again.

Like staying at a friend’s apartment

The apartment was very nice yet what made this, our first stay in Athens, really welcoming was the hospitality of the Boutique Athens team. They made us feel welcome and cared for like family starting with prearranged taxi pickup at the airport by driver Mihailis, the detailed orientation to the apartment and map of the city by Yannis, and thanks to a taxi-strike the day we left, when we called him in a panic, Manolis came to our rescue at the last minute to drive us to the port so we could catch our ferry. The apartment is in a great central location, walking distance to major (and minor) sightseeing and many restaurants. We took advantage of some good eating options just below the apartment: souvlaki, a cute cafe-bar and a breakfast place. And just down the street is Avocado, a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The apartment is on the top floor with the bedrooms at the back so it is quiet for sleeping. One bedroom has AC, the other does not. One of our teens slept happily on the wide couch in the living room, which also has AC. The beds and bedding are very clean and comfortable, pillows are great. Bath smallish but modern with great rainhead shower. Kitchen adequate, too small for real cooking. Balcony, as mentioned in other reviews is a real treat. You can see a corner of the Acropolis from there and an old building across the street. Loved the vintage bar and wooden doors and rim that gave the apartment character. Washing machine a plus.

Fantastic hosts

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It's about a 2 minute walk to some of the best restaurants and bars in Athens, and you can walk to the Acropolis and the Plakka in about 15 minutes; great location! It's clean and well decorated; we loved all the unique mid-century furniture and all of the art throughout. The hosts are fantastic; from being super responsive in communication before we arrived, to sending an email to alert us to metro strikes happening on the day of arrival to taking us on a walking tour of the neighborhood when we checked in (above and beyond there!). They had coffee, tea, sugar, milk and water for us too. Great stay!

The perfect apartment for visitors to Athens, it is located just a few blocks from the acropolis and has all of the modern amenities that any traveler could ask for! Janus gave us a very thorough orientation to both the apartment and Athens, and ranged all the transportation services that we needed for our stay. The apartment was roomy, clean and located on a lovely, tree-line street with multiple restaurants and bars nearby. We loved it!

Wonderful apartment so close to the Acropolis

The location was amazing. While hiding away above the car rental shop, this luxurious apartment is a gem. Two excellent double bedrooms, each with their own shower rooom, a lovely sitting room, and a view from the verandah to die for. There was an excellent fitted kitchen, with washing machine and dishwasher, if you needed them. However everything was in close walking distance. We were shown the supermarkets by the representative from the company and the areas to go to eat. We found the restaurants near the Acropolis were too busy and preferred to walk further into Plaka for a more hassle free meal. The service we received from the company was excellent, which included ordering a friendly taxi driver to meet us at the airport. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Absolutely Wonderful

Dean and the team of hosts for Boutique Athens were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was super responsive to all my questions leading up to the trip as well as during, and it was immensely helpful to have assistance with booking transport since my group was more than two dozen people all arriving and leaving at various times. The apartments themselves were very nice, and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do (see the major sites and have group dinners). Highly recommended for anyone visiting Athens!

Spectacular views from the terrace

The apartment was every bit as good as we were expecting from the description, photos and reading reviews. The views from the terrace were spectacular. Seeing the Acropolis lit up at night from there for the first time was a real 'wow' moment! The apartment is on the 6th floor but there is a lift. And there is another shared terrace above that with equally fantastic views but we didn't need to use it as we had our own private observation deck! The location perfect: only few minutes walk from bars and restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. It felt perfectly safe for my sister and I to walk around the area at night. The apartment itself is obviously someone's home for part of the year and is very comfortable but that means some of the amenities are showing signs of being well used: the showers could probably do with a bit of updating. But everything worked as it should. The service provided was excellent. We had arranged an airport pick-up and drop-off with Michaelis and all went smoothly both ways. Yannis met us at the apartment and went through everything, with the aid of their very comprehensive visitor information folder – the best we've seen. A great experience, definitely recommended.

Great location in Psirri

We have been in Athens for the first time and were totally happy with our accommodation in Psirri. After the comfortable and reliable airport-transfer by Mihalis, we could directly enjoy the nice view of the Acropolis from the upper terrace which is accessible just one floor above the apartment. The apartment itself is a fully equipped little retreat with its own terrace. Although it is right in the heart of Psirri, it is a quiet street. Staying in modern and busy Psirri also offered a great contrast to beautiful but very touristy Plaka. Nevertheless the Akropolis, the Ancient and the Roman Agora, Syntagma and even Lykabettos are in walking distance.

Fantastic Location with Roomy Accommodations

Location is ideal for touring. Perfect accommodations for our group of 10 travellers (3 families in total - 5 adults and 5 children) - we each had our own apartment but could easily hop between apartments. We enjoyed the roof deck and took advantage of all the local restaurants and pubs. Apartments were stocked with milk, water and coffee. There was so much to see, do and eat around this location we never used the kitchen facilities but all were well equipped. Units had clothes washers with drying racks and one unit even had a clothes dryer which was extremely convenient for travel with children. Our hosts were wonderful and greeted us upon arrival providing detailed instructions and suggestions. Definitely would recommend to friends traveling to Athens!

A lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in Dean's apartment. It looked exactly as in the pictures. It was spotless clean and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is in very close walking distance to Monastiraki place. Nice and cool restaurants and cafes are even closer by. But the street of the apartment is very quiet. We arrived late at nights at Athens airport with 2 kids and Dean organised a driver who picked us up and had the keys for the apartment. That was really helpful. Thanks a lot for all! A great stay in Athens.

Timeless vacation from the first steps into the apartment.
View from the balcony to the backside of the Kalimarmaro marble Stadium - 1896 first olympic games - "if you want to work together, you have to know each other first" was the core motive for the games.
The surrounding of the apartment is lively populated by Athens people (no tourist ghetto). The main archeological attractions - Acropolis / Zeus Temple / Agora / St. George's Mountain - reachable within 30 min. walk. Service of the apartment gives individual advice where to get the best taverns, fish and bakery. Just delicious!
We are looking forward to book this place again!

Absolutely perfect

This listing was absolutely perfect for our large group of 11 people. The apartments are set up in a way that everyone had their own little space and it was easy to all hang out in one of the apartments. Costas went above and beyond what I would expect from a host and was a lot of fun to talk to during our check in. Manolis gave us a quick tour of the neighbourhood when we arrived and it helped immensely in getting our bearings straight. We also arranged 3 rides to and from the airport through our host and they all went off perfectly. The apartments are in walking distance from everything you want to do in Athens and we’re also surrounded by tons of street art. Absolutely would recommend staying at this listing, or any property managed by this group. Even if the apartments were less than desirable, which they weren’t in any way, the staff alone make the difference.

My daughter and I had a great time exploring from this apartment. Very well located in central Athens so we walked to everything we wanted to see as well as easy access to Metro stations. The building and apartment were clean and everything promised was there. We found it a relaxing space with great windows and light to rest our feet and then go back out late evening with many good restaurants in all directions to choose from.

Wonderful spacious apartment right in the heart of historic Plaka. Walking distance from all the major sights and what must be the best view in Athens from a spectacular roof terrace. From start to finish the whole team were super easy to deal with and very responsive. The pictures of the apartment don't really do it justice - from the comfortable furnishings to the funky artwork it is a really great place to stay. st steps from numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities the apartment is right in the middle of Athens and a great place to base yourself if you want to get to know this historic city.

Great place and service

We just wanted to thank Boutique Athens for the great place and service we had for our week in athens. Apartment was really comfortable, great location,  appreciated the free wifi and coffee. Very much appreciated the orientation tour by Manolis, so helpful to get our bearings and some local Intel. Michalis was nice guy and good ambassador for BA and athens. Appreciated his tourist tips. Having such a lovely and convenient place stay underpinned our great experience. Also appreciated opportunity to meet Dean and get a bit more local info about the area. Will happily recommend BA, and have told our travel agent that they should get you on their books as a preferred provider.

A wonderful industrial apartment for a group of friends who want to get to know the real Athens!

The flat was furnished beautifully and tastefully with local street art. The beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean. it was the perfect place for a group of friends (it could comfortably sleep 6-8people!) even though we were only 4. It had a wonderful large terrace for sunny breakfasts with a breathtaking acropolis view. The area is very authentic and close to many cafes and bars, and although it could seem 'rough' it is perfectly safe! a great insight to Athens life! we left the car at the parking right next door which was very reasonably priced.

Great apartments!

Great apartments with eight of us traveling from grandparents, parents and children having the two apartments provided everyone with their own space. The apartments are simple layouts but effective accommodation for the traveler. All the fixtures, fittings of the kitchen and bathrooms were quality. The area is trendy and bohemian with plenty of places to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plenty of Greek Tavernas to visit and close to Plaka Monastiraki and syntagma. Not much I can offer in terms of what they could do better because they’ve got it right.

Athens has lots of amazing areas and Psyri is the best in my opinion. It has the vibe of Berlin or Amsterdam, with street art, great cafés/restaurants, fun shops and not too touristy. The apartments were modern, well equipped and had a great view over a nice church garden (and Akropolis from the rooftop). We felt right at home there. We were there at Christmas, so the church bells played Christmas music (a little loud in the morning, but otherwise a nice touch) and the area around Little Kooks café is worth seeing for it’s crazy Christmas decorations!

An overall excellent experience

I spent three days in this apartment together with 4 people. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. The location is ideal for getting around on foot and by public transport (metro stop a few steps away). Wonderful terrace overlooking the parthenon. Excellent reception and overall excellent experience.

It was perfect, near everything, the view was wonderful, it has a beautiful terrace and excellent accommodations, two bedrooms and a big living room. There is enough space for 6 people . Manolis give us a lovely tour in the surroundings. It s definitely a good recommendation.

There were nine of us in the travel party and we couldn’t have felt more welcomed! The location was great with plenty of activities nearby. We are all mid to late 20s and were huge fans of the surrounding bars and lounges. The street art in the area was a nice touch. Also, we loved the quick tour of the neighborhood when we arrived. I would highly recommend this location!

This is really an outstanding apartment- very nice design with all those small things which make you feel so good! We loved the record player and the terrace. The location is perfect, in the middle of everything, the perfect place to explore the city on foot. I recommend it for group of friends/bigger families as the apartment perfectly suits 8 people.

We loved the location and ease of mobility that this property allowed. We were blocks away from all kinds of clubs, restaurants & relics. The modern character of the place was great for us (a couple) though there was plenty of room for more! The air conditioning worked well which we needed after spending all day in the September heat! Athens is a chaotic, urban stew that we really enjoyed and this location was a central aspect of our enjoyment! We are short term rental owners ourselves & we appreciated the level of professionalism that Boutique Athens showed us. We are already thinking about our next visit!!!!

A real treasure!

I had rented the house to accommodate our group of friends over a long weekend. The place is a real treasure in an very central location and yet super calm. The house has been beautifully renovated with amazing attention to detail. Little extra touches like milk in the fridge are great too. The roof terrace is of course spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the team was very helpful. Besides the ground floor apartment it works probably best for couples as the bathrooms are ensuite or very good friends if you share studios with more than two people. For us it was great. Amazing place!

Amazing place!! Art studio adds that extra spark. Paintings were a plus and so deep...really made you think. Check In Was the Best EVER. He was soo thorough, went over the map and even gave me a quick walking tour to. ACs in the room were great! Would stay here again and again. Close to everything and great WIFI.

A great way to see Athens like a local!

The property was very large and gave plenty of room for my family of four (two university aged daughters) for our stay in Athens. The good sized fridge was very handy for waters in hot Athenian weather and the view of the Parthenon was amazing, especially at night. Many eating and drinking options were only a couple of blocks away. Our orientation upon arrival was very useful as well. My 21 year old repeatedly said she wishes it were at her college since the layout and look and feel were perfect for friends getting together. Would definitely recommend!

Really cozy apartment in the centre of Athens, just 3 minutes walking from the Acropolis with Syggrou Fix and Acropolis metro station very close from it. We were impressed about how new and cleaned it was. The bedroom is really nice and the bed very comfortable. I recommend this place if you want to stay in the centre of Athens. About the procedure of booking, all the staff was nice and helpful with us, but I have to make a special mention to Yannis, with was AMAZING. Really nice and kind with us. He also gave us some important tips about the city. Lia also was really nice with us, and she speaks Spanish!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment which was clean and well appointed. The kitchen made it easy to cook meals and enjoy family gatherings in the spacious apartment. The various staff members who managed this apartment went above and beyond to be very informative and helpful. Apartment is within 1-2 minute walk of pedestrian street of cafes and views of the Acropolis; Monistiraki square and metro. We would go back and stay in this same apartment.

What fun, to live in central Athens

We made this great apartment our 'home' for 12 days. We were thrilled with the lovely light, airy home, so well fitted out, so comfortable. We were delighted with the central location, in the heart of 'bohemian' Athens, with the markets, food shops, restaurants, cafes and bars all within easy walking distance. The extensive roads with car restrictions made it easy to walk throughout the city from our home base. The support team were excellent from the point when I made inquiries and right to the end. We would come to our Athens ' home' again!

From the moment we booked, everything ran seamlessly! The team were fantastic at giving us information before our stay and super flexible letting us have a late check in and late check out. The apartment is even better than the pictures show. It's huge, wonderfully comfortable for a family of six and there are stunning views of the acropolis and sunset from the balcony and simply wonderful rooftop terrace. The team gave us a full set of information on Athens, sharing recommendations and making sure we were shown all the amenities of the apartment. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. An amazing, central location in a wonderful apartment. It made my Dad's 70th birthday visit to Athens an absolute treat!

It really feels like home

Very cozy and conveniently placed apartment. The neighborhood where it is located and the people we met in the streets nearby looked very friendly, there are plenty of nice restaurants (Mystic is definitely to try) and even nice bars with live music. In the night it is very quiet and it takes 20 minutes walking (very nice walk by the way) or 5 minutes (4 EUR) by taxi to reach the center of town. The apartment is newly refurbished and very practically furnished and offers the possibility to cook or to prepare coffee and tea (we preferred to have breakfast at home and then take off for the whole day in town). Definitely willing to book it again next time I will be in Athens!

Exactly what we wanted!

The location in Psirri is central to everything. We loved the eclectic neighborhood with artists, musicians, foody restaurants, textiles, and mix of genres. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The most 'stand-out' part of our stay was the excellent communication from our hosts and a great 'get oriented' tour of the area. We would be delighted to stay here again.

This is a lovely apartment, in a great, convenient location, near the Metro, walkable to everywhere, in a neighborhood that feels intimate and "real." It's well-furnished, is very comfortable, and is full of character. The sizeable terrace is a great feature that greatly expands the living space. The washer was a great help in allowing us to reduce the amount of clothing we packed. The kitchen is snug, but completely serviceable for our needs. Booking was simple and straightforward, and when we arrived at the Metro station, Costas was there to meet us, lead us to the apartment, and explain all its features. We couldn't be more content with this rental, and will certainly recommend it to our friends.

This apartment is in a really great location in Thisseo, with a pedestrianized street full of cafes and bars just up the road, although the apartment is just far enough away from them so that it is lovely and quiet at night. The apartment is clean, airy, has well functioning air conditioning, a great modern bathroom and it is a really good, comfortable size. Boutique Athens, especially Costas was excellent. They will answer all your questions via email and are great communicators. Do use their recommended taxi driver Michalis because he was really good and reliable too. Our flight arrived one hour late and he was still there waiting for us at the airport to take us to the apartment. The apartment is not far from the main things we wanted to see in Athens (Acropolis, Plaka, Monstiriaki). We walked everywhere. It is also within 800 metres of one of Athens best new restaurants called Aleria and within walking distance of Cinque Wine Bar in Psirri which is fantastic. Don't miss it if you are in Athens. We loved coming back to this really comfortable apartment each night and really liked this area of Athens.

We booked this rental on line for 15 members of our family at ane dof our cruise. When we got ther we were a little skeptical, but that quickly changed when we got in the wonderful EP apartments. We rented all five units.Since we arrived early in am, Costas greeted us and allowed us to safely store our luggage in their office less than a block away. Then he proceeded to give us a one hour tour of the neighborhood, which consisted of a lot of you adults and families, the local bakery, which was awesome and the small square just blocks away where we could get the HOHO bus. When were able to get into the apartments they spacious and Costas took great to explain to each one of us how the appliances worked, the AC units and the TV's the bonus roof garden overlooked the city and a view of the Accropolis. The bonus was it was stocked with drinks for our use. They arranged for our transfer to the units and to the airpport. They were right on time and we hand no difficulty connecting with them. Thre is no elevator, but the steps were gradual and easily navigated even by one member that had a bad knee and another who was 81. lia was marvelous to work with when we were setting it up, very responsive aand accomodating. We highly recomend these units.

I was on two weeks business trip, Lia was so kind in helping me to find what I needed. And in the end she did excellent job, apartment is in the very center, spacy, amazingly comfortable and bright. Clean building with housekeeper during the day. Costas was more than helpfull in informing me about where to go, how to get there, nearest markets and bakeries, bus and metro stations and sll other facts u need to know when u visit Athens for the first time. I enjoyed having coffie on the balcony and hopefully Ill get back there first chance I get.

Beautiful apartment with a lovely view from the living room/balcony. Great location, surrounded by locals, not touristy. Lovely places to eat around as well. The people from Boutique Athens were extremely helpful and lovely to talk to. Gave us a tour of the area and recommended local restaurants. The wifi originally didn't work but it was sorted as soon as we brought it up with them. The view from the roof terrace and apartment balcony is absolutely fantastic. Well worth it, and at a reasonable cost too. Within walking distance of everything you need/all tourist attractions and the metro if necessary. Would 100% recommend this apartment and the company!

The location of the apartment was absolutely fabulous! The room was very spacious and wonderfully laid out. The interior stair case led to the roof top garden with a view of the Acropolis which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. The person that they assigned for our pick up and drop off was wonderful as well. He provided a map and thoughtful instructions for making our way out to dinner on our first night, which we also used for the rest of our stay. We loved staying there and would most certainly stay there again if we are ever in Athens.

What an amazing stay, Boutique Athens has the recipe figured out! Pre-stay was organized and efficient. We were provided with a regular email chain that had next steps for each part of the planning process. Fill out the form they send people, it makes them able to customize your stay. We originally had interest in their larger residence for our 19 person group but 1 day in the middle of our stay was already booked to they were able to get us 4 apartments next to each other and it worked out splendidly, better than we could have hoped. Our arrival went smooth. The hosts were waiting on us, guided us in and showed us around all 4 apartments. Our guide was fantastic, he showed us around the neighborhood twice because we had to split up to return cars to airport. He showed us lots of favorites in the area to visit and we enjoyed each one. Our stay was top notch, neighborhood felt a little rough at first but after being there a day and meeting the people it ended up being a very charming and friendly district. The area is very unique with lots of art and performers as well as great food and a public square right next to metro with plenty of shopping and activities. Each apartment had balconies and rooftops with Acropolis view where we would gather as a group and fellowship in the evening. Everything (plumbing, electrical, climate control, etc.) worked perfectly and we experienced zero problems with any of our amenities while we stayed. The "guidebook" that was provided in each apartment was a great touch. My family travels a lot but there was one person with us who is even much more well traveled than we are and she could not have been more impressed with the content and resources provided in the binder. She said it was the first time in all her travels that she had such a great local resource. When we left we had planned on dragging all our luggage and hopping the metro to the airport. Our guide heard this and mad e a recommendation for a bus service he knew of. The day before we left I called him and he arranged through the operations manager to have a bus waiting on us big enough for our entire group and our luggage for half of what it would have cost for the metro and much less headache. Boutique Athens has a formula figured out to make your stay very enjoyable and comfortable. Their system is efficient and effective. Thank you so much Yanis, Costas, Lia, Manolis, and Yorgis we very very much appreciate you. These guys (and gal) are great. We will be staying Boutique Athens again, I promise.

As a family of 4, we rented MO1 and MO2. We rented these apartment for a week . Although the building looks a bit old, the apartment itself is great. It has all the modern conveniences (dish washer, washing machine, dryer, iron,...). The location of this apartment is super, everything that we wanted to visit in Athens was in walking distance. The only small negative points were the fact that we sometimes had smell in one of the apartments (probably to do with the old sewerage in the old city of Athens) and the fact that we had some noise during the night (small pub with a very vocal public underneath the apartment). Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend staying here!

The neighborhood couldn't have been better! Lots of cafes and shops. The city of Athens was warm and buzzy with lots to see and do. The apartment itself was very spacious and air-conditioned. The host/owner thought of everything, including milk in the fridge when we arrived!

We were a family of 6 travelling in Athens during July and stayed in MO12. What a fabulous experience. Boutique Athens are responsive and easy to communicate with over email prior to arriving. The apartments exceeded our expectations!!! We were met at the apartment shown were everything was and then walked about the suburb to introduce us to the great places to eat and visit. Monastiraki is a fabulous suburb with has so much character. We were easy walking distance to all the sites and the Plaka. If you like more space when travelling I would highly recommend staying at one of the Boutique Athens apartments. We were also travelling during the referendum and economic unrest. We found no issues getting money from ATMs or service issues. The Greek people are culturally warm and welcoming and during this time we found this remained. We thank them for a fabulous holiday when going through such difficult times

We loved our cozy, clean and central apartment in Athens. It was small, but had an enormous terrace, which also housed the washing machine. We were there in February, but had it been warmer, we would have spent a lot of time on the terrace, it was so inviting.
The taxi driver they arranged to and from the airport was smart, interesting, warm, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, We had a little problem with the internet when we arrived, which was immediately fixed. We were a five minute walk from Plaka and the archaeological museum. The price was excellent, too. We would stay here again if we return to Athens.

Up a few flights of stairs this second floor apartment was quiet, spacious and had all of the amenities required for a comfortable stay in Athens. There is aircon in the living area and the bedroom, two small balconies and a functional well equipped modern kitchen. Check-in and communications were good and the office is close by if contact with staff is required. The location is convenient to Acropolis and surrounding sites, a short and pleasant walk to Monastiraki and Plaka and close to the colourful central markets of Athens. The actual street location looks a bit edgy and run down and there is lots of street art and graffiti but it seems like a safe enough place.

Was perfect for us as it meant with a 6yr old we could walk to anywhere. The balcony is large and really acts like a second living room and has a reasonable view (not straight out onto another building). The appartment is normally size for inner city Europe ie single person bathroom but worked very well for us. Bedrooms are at the back so there is no noise from the street, not that that was an issue on the balcony really either. Taxi to and from the airport was very professional and prompt. The booking agent is very friendly and helpful. The initial orientation around the block was a nice touch to make us feel welcome and the information left in the apartment was the most complete I have ever seen giving information on the local environ plus also for several of the other areas in Athens. Overall it was an absolute joy to stay in.

Stayed here with my family during Nov 2014. Very convenient location situated near the plaka. Located within a walking distance to alot of bars/restaurants that are suitable for breakfast/dinner.
I must say that I'm impressed with the owner as she shared alot of information as to how to get about around Athens. Also provided taxi service to and from the airport. Rooms and bathroom was clean, towels/linens/sugar/coffee was provided which was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.
P.S Go up to the top floor using the stairs to get a beautiful view of the Acropolis. Even better at night!

We loved everything about this apartment! The apartment is immaculate, spacious, and comfortable. And the view from the roof top terrace does not disappoint! The terrace is large and has plenty of seating.
The location is in a safe and quiet area, but the apartment is also very central - it's within walking distance of almost everything you will want to see during your stay. There are many delicious restaurants just steps away! Definitely take advantage of guest services - they were very helpful with recommending transportation and local restaurants. Also, in the room you will find an extensive guide to all different areas in Athens, with restaurant, museum, and shop recommendations.
We were so happy that we opted to stay in an apartment and not a hotel - it gave us the sense that we were living in Athens, instead of visiting as tourists. We are already talking about our next trip to Athens, and will certainly book with Boutique Athens! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

The apartment is well situated in a very walkable and scenic part of the city. It's located within a few minutes of the Syntagma metro station too, for easy access to and from the airport and around Athens. My husband and I were visiting Greece for the first time and we don't speak the language but we felt very safe and comfortable here, even in the late evening.
The furniture and amenities are very nice and budget friendly, though they kept to original architecture and we felt like the bathroom could use some updates like a new shower and sink. The shower/tub was very compact and dated (pink plaster) and the drain was a bit slow. On the flip side of that, we felt like we were living as a Plaka resident and this was the only real downfall to the apartment - it felt homey and comfortable otherwise. The apartment was also very, very clean! The mini-fridge contained water and milk upon arrival. There was also coffee, tea and and all the dishes and silverware you need. There's also a nicely sized private terrace with a (very) partial view of the Acropolis.
Air conditioning is very quiet and works great. The master bedroom was extremely quiet and comfortable. We rented and paid for it as a 1br unit, but the second bedroom was open and could have been occupied. The second bedroom didn't have a/c, but we can't comment on the comfort level at night because we slept in the main room which was adjacent to it. We thought it was nice that they didn't charge for the second bedroom if you only need one. There are tons of things to do right outside your door and you can take a 25 minute or less stroll to the Acropolis (or catch a cab/ the metro). The apartment appears to be a good size for the downtown area.
Our host was very friendly. We used the company taxi and our host met us upon our drop-off at the apartment and went through everything. He then took us on a small walking tour of the Plaka area. It was very helpful for us to see some of the area with someone who knows their way around.
Overall, it's a good place to stay in Athens. The company has a lot of other apartments for rent too. It was a solid outfit.

From the moment we arrived at the airport and were greeted by Michalis to meeting Yannis at the steps of our home for a week,we knew this was going to be special. The comprehensive introduction and subsequent tour of our neighbourhood with Yannis gave us the necessary confidence to start our stay in Athens. Everything in the apartment was perfect,clean and so comfortable. We really did think of it as home and loved coming back at the end of an exhaustive day of adventuring. The apartment is in such close proximity to all of the necessary shops ,cafes ,supermarkets,restaurants. We just loved walking through all of this old part of the city and felt very safe and secure here. The description given to me through correspondence when I booked matched up perfectly to what we found when we arrived. The photos were true to what greeted us on opening the door. We thank the whole organisational group of Boutique Athens ,especially Lia who we had the most contact with. I will highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed 2 nights in this lovely apartment block. Our ferry had arrived 2 and half hours late but the driver, Michalis, and Yannis, the manager, waited patiently for us. Yannis gave us a great tour of the area after we had checked in. The area is vibey and arty and walking distance to the sites. The apartment is lovely with everything you need and a cute rooftop terrace where we had breakfast every morning. We did our laundry which was great after 6 nights of travelling (they provided the washing detergent). The bed was very comfy, the only thing I would suggest is that they get thinner pillows.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. We were met at the airport by Boutique Athens driver who was friendly & helpful. The apartment was perfect for our stay, it allowed our teenage daughter to have her own room without being completely separated. Nice to have somewhere that felt like home too. The apartment is in a quiet residential area (not touristy like Plaka) but only a short walk from the pedestrian walkway which gives access to the main historic sites. On our arrival Lia took us on a walk around the area pointing out the supermarket & bakery which was only a few hundred yards up the street and the main areas of old Athens. This was a very nice touch & made us feel very welcome. The apartment is well equipped, the wifi worked no problem, TV too. We only used the kitchen for breakfast & tea/coffee but it was more than adequate with a large fridge & microwave. There is aircon but during our stay we used it for heating not cooling, it actually snowed while we were here!!! When choosing somewhere to eat we followed the recommendations given in the info from Boutique Athens & they were excellent. All in all we thought it was a great place in a good location and we were very pleased that we chose this accommodation rather than the more usual hotel. The staff of BA were helpful & friendly and it was nice to feel that had anything gone wrong they were available to assist, particularly since we speak no Greek at all. I think this property would be good for a family with children, there is a lift so getting buggies etc upstairs wouldn't be a problem.

This was a great holiday apartment in Athens. The location allowed us to walk to all sights, restaurants, and activities ... Safely! The furnishings were very tasteful and artistically interesting. The large living and dining rooms, bathrooms and kitchen provided great space for our comfort. The highlight was sitting on the expansive balcony sipping coffee in the morning and wine at night while overlooking the Presidential Gardens and the Acropolis in the distance. We used the washer and it worked very efficiently. It would have been helpful to have some napkins or paper towels, and a large coffee pot. The taxi service to and from the airport (which we paid for) was organized by Boutique Athens and was a great asset to our arrival and very early morning departure. The entire staff made our booking, payment, communications, and stay very efficient and wonderful. Thank you!!!

We were a group of 5 people who came to Athens to celebrate my 25th birthday. Everything about this apartment was amazing! The team were great; our flight arrived late at night and Costas was waiting for us at the airport. The apartment was exactly as advertised. We had everything that we needed. The only slight problem was that the floor of the bathroom would get wet after a shower, but very easy to manage.
The apartment is extremely central, lots of places to eat nearby. We were extremely comfortable and I would recommend this place without hesitation. Lia was very helpful and friendly when we were enquiring about the apartment and she put our minds at ease once we had made the booking.All in all I had an awesome 25th birthday in Athens!

Everything was delightful, from the host (Yanni), who met us and gave us a short walking tour of the area and detailed guidelines on what to check out, all of which was very helpful. PL3 is filled with the charm of 1950's modernity and balmy evenings on the broad balcony enables exceptional outdoor dining and a decent glimpse of the acropolis. The original teak finishing in the apartment is memorable and the bar with mirrored surfaces and automatic lights was simply adorable. The icing on the cake is the blue tiled bathroom with pastel pink toilet, sink and matching deep bath. All the style of yester-year one could want for and still able to give one the feel of being at home, when far from it.

Quiet haven in incredible location

I spent four days here with my girlfriend in October and we were not disappointed! Great directions from Boutique Athens on how to get to the apartment, including being met at the metro station to get given a quick tour of the area, after being taken to the apartment. The location was great, on a side street five minutes walk from Psirri square. The apartment was very light, with the most incredible balcony. It was perfect for breakfast, and for evening views of the Parthenon. We were within walking distance of most of the main attractions (and close to a metro for when we wanted to spend a day at the beach). Overall, the apartment was nice and spacious, with the balcony a great USP. The location was second to none. The service from Boutique Athens was great, they even let us leave our bags at the head office while we did sightseeing on the final day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The management was very reliable, helpful and professional. Answered our emails very quickly, helped with printing our tickets, stored our excessive luggage whilst travelling to the islands and more. The taxi service they provided was also very reliable. The driver was always on time and willing to help with a smile.
In summary the apartment and service were a cut above anywhere else we stayed in Europe on this trip.

The apartment is modern arty, to the point it has a fantastic "Banksy" style graffiti wall in the sitting area , but don't let this put you off as this suits the style of the apartment which would not look out of place in a trendy part of New York or London. We were looked after from being picked up at the airport by Mike the wonderful taxi driver; we went out the first night to Platia Iroon and immediately realised what a very interesting area we were in. The location is excellent for trips to the Central Market, Monastiraki Square, Keramikos, Thissio, Ermou etc. etc. Some fantastic local shops ( bakers/ sweet shops) and tavernas which make you feel so welcome. We would go back without hesitation, but just a word of caution - if you like cushy, cosseting tourism, this area is a real living but slightly "edgy" area where like many other places in the world we have travelled to, you need to take care - having said that we never felt at risk or unsafe . We long to return !

MO1 is centrally located, beautifully decorated, very well equipped with every attention to detail. Lia & Costas provided us with reliable, professional service which was a cut above anywhere else we have stayed in Europe on this trip. They were also very helpful with our EXCESSIVE luggage by not only storing itfor us in their offices, whilst we were travelling to the islands but also collecting ifrom our apartment and dropping it off on our return. Makis, the taxi driver (whose services we used several times) was also very reliable, always on time and very helpful always with a smile despite having to lift our very heavy suitcases. would highly recommend Boutique Athens.

Lia welcomed us, showed us around in the apartment, and even more important, in the neighborhood. The apartment is spacious, sleeps five very comfortably and six as well. Very well kept and clean. It has a wonderful terrace, excellent for breakfast and your afternoon drinks. The apartment is located in an neighborhood very close to main attractions but not in a tourist-area. That leaves your local restaurants to you and your Greek neighbors and I'm sure that is much more enjoyable. Lia even showed us around during our travels later on in the Peloponnesos, by sending us descriptions of attractions, hotels and restaurants. I would highly recommend, but we may be there again during next winter!

Excellent communication, helpful in every way, including an orientation tour on arrival. Lovely apartment in perfect position, where old meets new, close walking distance to everything of interest. Plenty of good restaurants and grocery shops very close by. Safe and friendly environment, felt like a local in no time, having a washing machine while travelling is such a time saving bonus. We loved the area around the apartment. There werent too many tourists, prices were low for Athens standards, quality of food was high. We went to Nikitas, to the bakery around the corner, to Costas favourite coffee bar (I forgot the name) and to this patisserie around the corner.
Everything was perfectly working. Using the free wireless internet was easy and cleanliness was excellent. We also had a nice view of the Acropolis from the balcony.

Cool apartment 5 of 5 stars I normally wouldnt write a review until Id received the holiday rental bond back, but in this case the property managers didnt ask for one so Im happy to jot down a few thoughts in the last few hours of our stay. The apartment itself is functional and really well presented. Light, airy, chic and with everything you could possibly want from a short stay city apartment including aircon, roller shutters and the all important washing machine (ours got a work out). The area itself is trendy and so well positioned. We had the friendly baker around the corner, the friendly fruit/veg shop man, the small market up the road, they were pretty friendly, as well as a bottle shop, chemist and heaps of coffee shops/bars/restaurants......all within a couple of minutes walk. What I personally look for when booking a holiday rental in advance and from the other side of the world is plenty of dialog. Plenty of emails, instructional printouts, questions answered in a courteous way, clear and easy payment options, being greeted at your stay by a friendly host (Lia gets top marks for this).These are the things that give me confidence. A lack of these things makes cautious (Ill be happy to elaborate on this in appraisals of other apartments). Boutique Athens, the company that managers this stay ticks all the boxes. The Acropolis and Plaka are about 15 or 20 minutes walk away. We walked everywhere and managed to get to all the major sites without using public transport, but of course the metro, city buses and taxis are all readily available. If booking this style of accommodation I dont know if youd do much better for the price. For us it was the perfect base for exploring this vibrant, gritty, pulsating but always interesting city.

My adult daughter and I stayed for four nights. Great location, authentic working Greek neighborhood, close to a remarkable bakery, a square with many choices for dining, coffee, people watching. A rooftop patio with complimentary wine. Very clean, everything worked well. The manager took us for a walk of the neighborhood to acclimate us to the area. Amazing hospitality. Great coffee, fresh milk, and a French press! Who could ask for more? We felt very safe at night, and everything was walkable. The Greek people are the star of the show. Use the taxi driver who is recommended. The airport is a distance away, but our driver was there when we arrived, and was on time to return us to the airport early on a Sunday morning. We would highly recommend this apartment.

"The folks who manage these apartments are among the most helpful and thoughtful managers weve seen. They provided maps and directions, suggested events, answered emails quickly, offered help with transportation wow! The apartment is compact but fine for two people. Nice kitchen (pre-stocked with a few items) and a balcony. Good wifi. Stairs and elevator both a little claustrophobia-inducing. Laundry in the basement. The area is your basic city neighborhood, but reasonably quiet. Walking distance from grocery, metro, restaurants. It doesnt have much of a view, but we wore ourselves out doing walking tours and didnt mind. We would definitely stay with these folks (this apartment or one of their others) again."

We found this accommodation lived up to the advertised promises. The unit was very clean, light and pleasant to be in. I loved sitting on our little balcony watch the world go by. We were a close walk to the busy touristy bits but felt tucked away in an area that felt like a very authentic slice of Greek life. There were some very nice restaurants close by including the "home cooking" style that Lia recommended. It took us only 15 minutes to walk up to the Acropolis. You will receive very personalised service from the managers at Boutique Athens. We appreciated being met at the airport by Mihalis for the same cost as any taxi fare into Athens. Lia met us and showed us around with helpful hints and recommendations. She was interested in our plans following Athens and suggested what to look out for in other places we were visiting. Any queries and concerns were very quickly and obligingly dealt with. Thanks Lia and Costas.

Our first time in Greece was truly a wonderful experience. We were met at the airport by "Mike" the taxi driver recommended by Lia, one of the property managers. Mike was personable and a wealth of info as a native of athens. Lia took over at the apartment - which is lovely, clean and had everything we needed. Lia gave us a tour of the apartment's rooftop garden, and the surrounding hotspots (including a terrific rooftop bar - atop the a is for athens Hotel) and Monastriki Square. The apartment is within walking distance to all we wanted to see. A very helpful map was explained to us by Lia and left for us to help find our way to all the sights. Another important feature of the apartment for us was how secure and safe it was. We travel with all our devices and were relieved to find a place such as this. Cannot say enough about this place. We loved finding this Jewell within waking distance to the acropolis and set amidst locals so as to experience Greek culture.

Our stay was very comfortable and we were very well served by Lia who met us at the station and gave us all the important information about athens and a cell phone for use while in athens. It is a 20 minute walk from the acropolis and a 4-5 (make sure you insist on cabs using their meter, most honest ones do). Overall, a good value, in a quiet residential neighborhood. And, good support like Lia meeting us at checkin, providing basics for tea and coffee, access to a washing machine.

Great roof garden, comfortable bead and bath, spacious living/dining/kitchen combo, two nice balconies overlooking the street for breakfast or evening coffee. Staff are both fiiendly and accommodating. They meet you on arrival and, if you like, will give a quick walking tour of the neighbourhood, so you know where to find groceries, bakery, wine, etc.

Lea arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and there he was, right on time. Arrived early at the apartment and Lea showed us around. The bakery, grocery and a wonderful place to eat. My wife and daughter and I stayed in the KR1 apartment in mid-May. It was very comfortable; remarkably, it was even more comfortable than it looked in the pictures online. The beds were exceptionally comfortable; the bathroom and shower were modern, clean, and worked well; and the kitchen was small but serviceable. The balcony has some seating, but is quite narrow, and we did not try to use it. We all very much enjoyed the stay and highly recommend the apartment.

My wife, 18 month old baby, and parents stayed here for four nights. We could not have asked for more! The communication regarding numerous aspects of before and during our arrival were timely and complete. Transportation was arranged, a lengthy write-up of vegetarian options in the area provided, along with help for ferry tickets and car rental. Our baby had a sleeping cot and a high chair. The accommodation is spacious, has all the amenities one could ask for, and is located in the Thissio area which is a walk along a promenade to the Acropolis. The tavernas up the street have outdoor seating and there's a grocery store a block away. It felt like we had a familiar relationship with many people after a few days at the apartment. We will definitely return and are grateful for the wonderful experience!

You Can't Beat the Location, Quality and Outstanding Service

You will want to stay at this location for several reasons. First, the service is extraordinary--professional and friendly. We had a major flight schedule change and the rental team--Lia and Costas--just made it work perfectly. Met us, escorted us to the unit, and then gave us an orientation walk through the neighborhood, pointing out all the things we needed. They also help arrange taxis and other tours. They made things easy. Second, the apartment itself was very comfortable--for four in our case--good beds, great bathroom, washer, AC that kept the entire unit comfortable in the hot weather, and a nicely equipped kitchen. Finally, there's the location--from the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast looking at the acropolis to having everything else just a short walk away: major sites and museums, restaurants, shopping, groceries. We stayed for three days in the middle of July and found it perfect for us. We had apartments 3 and 4 which interconnect and gave my 13 year old twins there space including a lounge dining and ourselves with the two year old jack the same. The place was modern, clean and full of little surprises, cold water and milk in the fridge, great coffee for the plunger. On arrival Costas took us for a walk around the area showing us a lot of places Tourists would not find and we had beers in a fabulous courtyard bar. What a start to our holiday. Thanks you Costa.

My husband and I stayed at the GZ4 rooftop apartment in april and we couldnt have been happier with our choice. Choosing an apartment instead of a hotel is always a bit risky, but this one is very well run and perfect for our needs in every way. It very quickly felt like our home away from home. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos - clean, bright, tastefully decorated, very comfy bed, kitchen with everything you need, and the terrace is big and sunny. Gz4 is in a residential neighborhood on a small side street, so is very quiet. Everything seemed brand new, including the (very handy) washer/dryer in the basement. Climbing up the stairs to the top floor is a bit of hike (no elevator), but if youre reasonably fit, no big deal. Its a 10-minute walk to the walkway that leads to the Plaka and acropolis, so close enough to where you want to go each day without being in the thick of it all.The delightful Lia from Boutiqueathens.com met us outside the building upon arrival, took us up to the apartment, sat down with us on the terrace and gave us our bearings on a map which she left with us. Then, amazingly, she offered to give us a walking tour of Gazi, the immediate neighborhood, and though we were tired having just arrived from the U.S. it was so worthwhile as we ended up loving Gazi. It seems to be where the hip youngish athenians hang out, rather than tourists, and it was great to just stroll around, soak up the scene, and eat at a couple of excellent restaurants. Theres also a cafe/restaurant just across the street from the apartment - great for a coffee or glass of wine, and a chat with the friendly owner, on our way home.At the end of our stay, we took the nearby metro directly to Piraeus (half an hour) for our next island destination. Gz4 was a convenient and affordable place to stay, with a touch of luxury that didnt break the bank. We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we are lucky enough to return to fascinating athens.

The kitchen is perfect for cooking a large meal or just making your morning coffee. Overall, its a luxurious apartment in a quiet location thats perfect for a short-term or long-term stay. I enjoyed staying there in May 2013, and Im looking forward to returning often.

Excellent welcome to athens and excellent location which was amazingly quiet given that in KR1 you are staying in the heart of athens. The apartment is great and local shops were ideal for allowing us to self-cater. The metro is near by and you can walk to the acropolis in 10-15 minutes. Everybody we met was so helpful. Locals came up to offer assistance whenever we looked lost - truly amazing! Costas' little tour of the local area was perfect and ensured we had an idea of where we were based as soon as we arrived.

My family (2 adults & 2 young children) recently stayed in KA7 Apartment for 4 nights. The booking process through Boutique Athens was excellent - clarification questions answered quickly, booking & payment was very simple, and special requests handled without any fuss. The door-to-door taxi service organized by Boutique Athens worked excellently and made getting in-and-out of Athens city really easy. Boutique Athens met us upon arrival, and gave us a detailed introduction to the apartment, services in the immediate locality (bakery, supermarket etc), and recommended attractions, with maps provided. The apartment was as described, very clean, and had everything for a comfortable stay. The only minor problem was that the bedroom on the side street suffered from occasional noise at night from passersby walking past the bedroom window, so would not suit really light sleepers. The bedroom facing the internal courtyard was very peaceful and our children slept perfectly. BUT the location was amazing and easy walking distance to all the main attractions and restaurants, so you could walk everywhere you needed. Boutique Athens also provided a comprehensive folder by Area with personally recommended places to visit, great restaurants, good wine shops etc. This was really helpful and made experiencing Athens with local knowledge a real bonus. Overall, the apartment was a great option compared to a hotel, situated in an amazing location close to everything, and the service from Boutique Athens made it so easy.

"Wir haben mit 5 Paaren dieses schne Haus bewohnt und jedes Paar fhlte sich in seiner eigenen Wohnung sehr wohl. Zwei Wohnungen waren gro genug, um gemeinsam die Mahlzeiten einzunehmen. Die Dachterrasse ist grandios! Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr zentral, schnell ist man zu Fu an allen wichtigen Stellen, die U-Bahn ist auch gut zu erreichen. Der Taxiservice hat super funktioniert, Lia hat uns die Schlssel bergeben und uns zuerst die nhere Umgebung gezeigt. Das war sehr hilfreich! Herzlichen Dank an Lia, sie ist sehr charmant uns spricht gut deutsch! Bei dem schnen Wetter wren wir gerne noch etwas geblieben.

I stayed in MO2 from November 2012 to March 2013. There are 3 phrases that can describe the apartment: Overall excellence-outstanding and ..fabusly relaxing The apartment is situated in the center of Athens...the perfect spot for visiting the city of Athens... The apartment is fabulous- spacious, light and airy and spotlessly clean. The Metro station , cafes and restaurants are 200m away. In MO1 I enjoyedeverything: the nicely equipped kitchen, spacious living area with the sun coming from the windows..the whole day, and the spotlessly clean bathroom. The bedroom with a lovely view to an old church and and to the courty yard of the church with 2 two beautiful cypresses. The bed is extremely comfortable and provided a wonderful nights sleep no noise in the apartment though you are staying in the heart of Athens.The heating was fabulous and everything worked perfect inside the apartment. One of the big advantages of renting this apartment is to meet Lia , Kostas and of course Dean the owner...who has created an arty, peaceful and welcoming environment for his guests...Lia will give you all the information on places to explore and yummy spots to eat.. . A stay at MO2 offers all the amenities and allows you to experience Greek hospitality at its best. ENLOY :-)) !!!

We stayed with a family of 3 in this splendidly renovated apartment. Great ameneties, careful renovations with stylish touched made us feel truly at home.
It was simple to reach reall everything on foot. The lively neighourhood proved essential to feel to be in a bit of "real Athens". Aside from the beautiful roof garden, the exceptional host, the great introduction and the range of useful and original tips for our stay made EP 16 probably the essential ingredient for some great 4 days.

I traveled here with my husband and teenaged daughter and stayed in GZ3 and GZ4 for 2 nights in February. Both had kitchenettes which was very convenient for reheating things.
There was an elevator which opened up into GZ 3
A narrow stairwell to GZ 4 thats not suitable for young children or the elderly. (No railing.)
Very nice balconys large and spacious.
The beds in both apartment were double size and extremely comfortable. I would say that these were the best mattresses Ive slept on while traveling and there were down comforters as well.
Even though we didnt use it, the sofabed in GZ3 was a high quality foam mattress which would be a good option for a third person.
Location was convenient and quiet.10 minute walk to the grocery store. Less than 10 minute walk to the metro stop and about 20 minute walk to the pedestrian walk (loop).
Wifi was very good in GZ4 but very spotty in GZ3 (dropped off often).
Lia was vey helpful with any and all inquiries. She answered all emails quickly. All amenities listed in the description are spot on (except for wifi). The apartments were both very organized and had lots of closet space. I found the apartment very clean and modern. Gz3 and GZ4 are perfect for the 3 of us as this was winter so we didnt have use of the balcony (which would have extended the apartment size). Nice relaxing place.

The perfect little home away from home!

My two friends and I shared this lovely little 2 bedroom condo for 9 days during this past Xmas/new years & loved our stay. Lia & Costas were incredibly helpful in setting up our accommodations. The initial rental unit I had requested ended up being unavailable because I took a while to decide, but Lia checked back with me several times and offered me alternative rentals; KR1 ended up being perfect. It's a little hard to find due to the poor street signs in athens, but once you get a little familiar with everything it's only about 10-15 minute walk from the clubbing district (Technopolis), the foothill of the acropolis, and Montastiriki market. It was nice to be on a quiet side street as opposed to a downtown hotel with all the noise and traffic. My friends and I prefer to live as the locals live on vacation, so we were easily able to find bakeries and food markets and do all of our own cooking. Upon arriving, I had a multitude of problems with my flights and was rerouted 3 times, being delayed by about 9 hours. I was able to send Costas an email from my connecting airport letting him know of the changes and he responded right away, working out an alternate plan to meet my other friend and let him to the condo. The unit was extremely clean, and there were good basic things like spices and things in the cupboards for cooking. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the overhead space heaters warmed up the apartment nicely during the cold rainy days. The unit was very bright and sunny, but the heavy storm shutters were perfect for blocking out the noise and sunlight on those few days we wanted to sleep in! Overall one of the best travel experiences I've had. Everyone from boutique athens was very professional and accomodated all my requests, including letting me pay for the rental via PayPal, as I had some skepticism about paying with my visa online. luckily there was nothing to worry about, and I would book this rental again in a heartbeat!

Excellent location

We stayed at Plaka studio for 3 nights and were really satisfied
with the apartment and with overall services provided by Lia and Costas.
The apartment itself is in excellent location.Acropolis and other touristic sites are
within 10min walk from the apartment and that saved a lot of trouble. Syntagma station is 5 min walk from the apartment and we found the Syntagma square to be vibrant and lively.

Costas met us at the Syntagma square and helped us check in to the apartment. The most important thing that impressed me was that we found the apartment just as it was seen in the pictures.
No surprises there. Kitchen was absolutely spotless and the fridge had water and milk to start with.

Costas and Lia were truly professional and provided us with all the required information. We were provided with maps, instructions, and travel advice which was very helpful.

I have nothing but positive comments to make about the staff and apartment.

Thanks to them we had a wonderful time in Greece.

The apartments are ideal for any traveler wanting to be in the heart of Athens for their visit and include all necessary amenities (i.e. washer/dryer, fridge, TV, WIFI internet, etc). Everything you could ever need is within walking distance including shopping, entertainment, metro, etc with no problem. The logistics of our trip were planned and executed flawlessly including the arrival/department transport by taxi, the apartment walkthrough and neighborhood tour. The entire team of Costas, Lia and Michalas were extremely professional, attentive and more then accommodating to any and all of our needs going above and beyond with no hesitation. We stayed for four nights in this apartment. First of all the owners prepared our arrival very well, gave us all the information we asked for. The location suited us perfectly; we coul walk to the Akropolis and the great Akropolis museum, as well as other interesting places. The metro was in a short walking distance and so easy to use. At nights we enjoyed to go out for a meal and drinks in the very lively Gaza, filled with restaurants, bars and cafes. Lets not forget Michaelis who picked us up at the airport and gave us various information on the way. Will not hesitate to rent this one again :-)

At our arrival by taxi, the neighbourhood didn't seem to be very sure, but finally, it appeared to be OK.

Amazing athens, Greece

This was my first trip to Greece so I had no idea what to expect. I usually stay in touristy areas so I was pleasantly surprised that the apartment was in a residential neighborhood. When I arrived, Lia took me on a walking tour of the area which was a huge help to me. Most everything necessary is within walking distance such as the Metro and grocery stores, etc. The studio apartment was beautiful and had an elevator which opened right into the apartment. It was a huge bonus not to have to haul my luggage up a flight of stairs. Everything in the apartment was so modern and so clean! The kitchenette was great and had all the dishes and cooking utensils I needed. The washer and dryer in the building would have been a bonus if I'd have been able to make them work! If you don't relate to icons and can't read Greek, get instructions on how to run them. There is an instruction sheet in the laundry room but it didn't help me. I'm college educated but apparently a ditz when it comes to these things! Same goes for the air Conditioner. I tried to make it work via the thermostat on the wall but there is a separate remote control that makes it work. Embarrassing, but funny!!
The areas near the apartment are diverse. In one direction you'll find pubs and restaurants filled with college-aged people, in another direction there are restaurants and pubs for the older crowd. A 20 minute walk will bring you past restaurants, gas (petro) stations, auto repair shops, bus lines and antiquities. Two doors down and across the street from the apartment is a great little Greek restaurant so it's not far to go to enjoy a good meal. Someone else mentioned the lack of an additional mirror in the apartment and I remember thinking the same thing. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment.
And finally, Lia from Boutique athens was rockin' awesome throughout my vacation! Actually, she was helpful to me long before I committed to travelling to athens.

Great Location!

I'm generally not one who raves about lodging but this place was amazing. I stayed in the lower unit which was a full one bedroom apartment and it was located in a residential area. It was fun to 'live' among the local people and to observe a small piece of the Greek culture. The building is older with many of the original features which add so much character. And I have never, Ever stayed in a hotel or apartment that was cleaner! The apartment is only a short walk to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and the Metro. As a 55+ year old woman, I felt safe walking everywhere, even in the evening. The rooftop deck was great, and especially so at night when the view of the acropolis was postcard beautiful. It was a bit of a workout climbing all the steps to the rooftop after a day of sightseeing though. Above all else about the property was the wonderful customer service provided by Lia and Costas. I travelled alone and did not know the language so I had lots of questions. They happily assisted and I felt well taken care of! Costas gave me a guided tour through the neighborhood and wisely pointed out several landmarks which helped me find my way back to the apartment. As for Lia, she was very helpful for several months before I arrived and she continued the high level of customer service during my stay. I do wonder if Lia ever sleeps because she answered my emails day and night while I was in athens. We had a fantastic stay in athens. The accommodation was very comfortable and we were met by Lia who was very friendly and helpful and definitely a great asset for Boutique athens.She showed us around the local area and pointed out the best bars/restaurants which came in very helpful for our stay.We highly recommend the use of their taxi driver who made everything very easy and even pointed out local attractions on the way to the apartment.Thanks heaps and see you next time!

I stayed 1 week in GZ4. Aparment is basically brand new, compfortably furnished with all features as expected. It is in a quiet street!. Gazi is a mixed neighbourhood with plenty of good retaurants and bars nearby. 15 min walk to the pedestrianised area around the acropolis. 10 mins walk to supermarket and 1 minute walk to the new Benaki museum. Service was exceptional in booking, arranging transport and welcome at the apartment. If you have a problem with stairs book another apartment in the same building as this particular top floor has no elevator access.. Highly recommended.

Excellent location to see the historic sites

The apartment is on the 4th floor of an older apartment building. To see the acropolis you have to crane your neck to see around the bell tower of the church whilst on the end of the balcony. But this apartment's fabulous location only 3 or 4 blocks from the south side of the acropolis can not be beat! The apartment is well managed by Boutique athens (our thanks for great and prompt service from Costas and Lia). The apartment is very clean with an uncluttered environment. The church across the street rings bells usually at 7 am daily. We were usually up anyway, so no problem. We were there during the orthodox holy week so there were more bells rung than usual and found it charming. And the church itself is a great landmark to find your way home through the old narrow streets.
Pluses: location, location, location. Great balcony, Good management company. Very safe and good area of town.
Minuses: very small shower area 2'x3' with clingy curtain so water gets all over bathroom floor (after a day or so we learned to manage by running shower water very slowly). Hardly any closet space. Tricky electric power - if you run the stove and boil a kettle at the same time the power trips off (but this may be the same everywhere in the older buildings of athens).

We just came back from GZ 1 and so badly want to go back, it was the best experience of our lives, the apartment is designed with taste and comfort, it is extremely secure, it has everything you might need when traveling, it is in Gazi ( City Center) , 3 minutes walk to the bus stop, since I had kids with me I took a taxi every where I went and it only costed me 4 euros to get to Syntagma Square , 5 Euros to The acropolis ,and The acropolis Museum, 7 Euros to the Flea Market , 6 Euros to the Planetarium it was just within my budget and easy as you get the taxi in about 2 to 3 minutes. There is a variety of restaurants, just on the corner of the street 2 minutes walk. I had to do grocery shopping and found out that there were many small shops which were mini markets and had everything I needed to cook breakfast , food etc
I had Lia helping me with all my reservations and she replied to all my e-mails within 5 minutes . I was given a warm welcome by Costa who had to stay awake for us as we reached after midnight , he was very helpful in explaining about how the microwave works, the TV connections , the washing machine the lift the mobile , you name it and they have it.
My daughter loved having the DVD player as that allowed her to watch her favorite Barbie Shows. The kids loved sitting on the high chairs for breakfast on the table.
We had rain when we were there on our second day and it was great to have the umbrella provided by them.
The Gallery was a great place to sit and enjoy our coffee and view the local people.
Costa had arranged for a driver to have us picked up from the port , Michallis was his name and he was very professional and we felt great as we had asked him to make a stop over to have our luggage picked up from the previous hotel athenaeum we stayed in, he without taking any extra charges took us and brought us safely to our apartment, where Costa was kind enough to help us carry our luggage to our apartment.

I would definitely love to go back one day !

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. Walking distance to the Plaka and other main attractions but far enough away so you don't feel as if you're in a tourist trap. It is very well equiped but with so many restaurants and cafes nearby we didn't use the kitchen much. We stayed in winter (and it was lovely and warm) but would love to come back in summer to make use of the huge balcony. In spite of arriving late at night we were met at the apartment by Lia who made us feel very welcome and set the scene for the continuing Greek hospitality. I would also reccomend making use of their taxi driver who collected us from the airport.

Good quality accommodation in good location

We stayed in this apartment for three nights in early June. It is on the first floor of a quiet residential block. There was a small lift, but we used the stairs most of the time. Apartment was extremely well equipped and clean and was plenty big enough for our party of four. Beds were very comfortable, with good quality linen. There was a well appointed kitchen, with practically new crockery and cutlery, a microwave, washing machine/dryer, but no dishwasher. There was also fast wifi connection and airconditioning, and we enjoyed breakfast each morning on the balcony.

The location was very good for us and we were able to easily get to all the attractions we wanted to see. Just a 5-7 minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants (several with views of the acropolis), 8 minute walk to acropolis entrance, 12 minute walk to acropolis Museum, 10-15 minute walk to the markets, 25 minute walk to Syntagma Square.

Boutique athens were extremely responsive to email enquiries, and had a very good meet and greet service. There was a Welcome Kit with some basic groceries, and an Information Kit on the area, including information on local restaurants, and where the nearest supermarket and bakery were. We were even taken on a half hour orientation walking tour of the area, which was much appreciated and helped familiarise us with the neighbourhood quickly. We also used their transfer service to/from the airport (additional cost) and had no problems - we were picked up at the requested times, cars were clean and drivers courteous. Airport is about a 40 minute trip.

Represented good value for money. We would definitely recommend, and revisit if in athens again.

Fantastic Service

My husband and I are from the U.S. and traveled to athens from June 10-14, 2012 and The Island of Santorini (Oia) June 14-17. So glad we went at a not-so-busy time of the year. I can't imagine being able to enjoy the sites or restaurants in peak-season with so many more tourists.

We were greeted at the airport by Michalis who drove us to our apartment in his air-conditioned taxi. Attentive, informative, sociable and a wonderful mini-tour-guide! We were welcomed by Lia at the apartment, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with her. She showed us around the area and I wish I could have had her all day! Very hospitable, informative and appreciative of what little Greek I knew. Thank you, Lia!

The apartment is exactly as represented online via photos and descriptions. Clean, simple and comfy enough for our needs. I felt safe in our complex. There's the outermost door to the complex, a door that leads to our front door as well as our neighbor's, and then our own apt. door. All open and lock with keys. And the hallways have auto/on/off lighting. Also, nice to have two separate air-conditioning units--one in the living room, one in the bedroom. Our downstairs/outdoor neighbor is one of the last few garlic vendors in the city. The couple also happens to be the apartment property manager Costas' parents. Costas also lives across the street and his brother owns the taverna at the end of the road.

The apartment is located in a perfect area as it is close to everything we wanted to do or see. We had no need whatsoever to use a taxi or the metro. Everything was within walking distance: restaurants, tavernas, cafes, bakeries, grocery store, miscellaneous boutiques, Metro, bus stops, Pedestrian Walkway, Plaka flea market, The acropolis, the new acropolis Museum, Ancient agora and Syntagma Square.

A few pointers:
1. Make sure you ask Lia to show you how to use the washer/dryer combo. What do each of those icons represent when washing and when drying? What temperature(s) to use for w/d? I did not find the typed directions to be of much help, and the actual manual comes in every language except English.
2. Ask where the water heater switch is located. We inadvertently turned it off somehow (near the coffee maker in the kitchen) and had cold showers our last night. I should have called Lia, but didn't think of it.
3. Bathroom floor can get wet from shower overflow, as the shower stall wasn't built high/deep enough to keep all of the water contained.
4. The streets are all cobblestone. The marble and stones in the ruins can be slippery. Rubber soles are the best, whether via tennis shoes or flip-flops (thongs for those in the U.K.) -- and not those awful, cheap shower shoes! It was hot, but nothing more than what we are already accustomed to during our hot summer months in Florida.

Stayed for four nights. Nice to be in a neighborhood with shops,easy walk to sights, museums and the Plaka.. Lots of restaurants nearby. A waiter at one of them lived in the same building! Bathroom very tiny but has nice toiletries. The bells from the beautiful church were startling at first, but after while we got used to them. Appreciated the free internet connection.Since the demonstrations and strikes were going on, we appreciated the offer for a pick up at the airport.

Gz1 is just and amazing apartment in a fabulous building! The apartment is super clean and beautiful inside. Has everything who look for when travelling to an apartment. Gazi, the near by zone is very popular with excellent restaurants (although the majority not having a menu in English but it only shows that is not a touristic area with touristic prices!). People who work for Boutique athens are very professional and were excellent with all the procedures since the reservation until the arrival.

We stayed in this apartment for 7 days in Sept/Oct. The photographs on the website were good but the apartment was even better. It was chic, well designed and spotlessly clean. It was light and airy and felt very spacious. The roof garden was a good place to sit and have a drink and the view of the acropolis was fantastic.

The kitchen was well equipped so we could shop in the wonderful markets and eat in . There were also lots of good places to eat nearby. The apartment was well equipped with all the basics we needed during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the street life and interesting characters. We felt secure and at ease walking around the city.

The staff at Boutique athens were very helpful. They booked us a taxi from the airport when the public transport was on strike. Costas took us on a walk around the local area and gave us lots of useful information.

This was one of the best places we have stayed. A great building in a great city.

I can't thank Costas enough for his hospitality. Even at 8 at night, when we finally arrived, he walked us all around the neighborhood. The apartment was excellent for walking to all of the Plaka and plenty of room for us and our adult son. The only downside was the traffic noise from the motor bikes at night.

We had a very pleasent stay in athen and in our apartment.
It was very good equipped, washing machine, dish wash machine to mention some... The terrasse was excellent with nice view to acropolice (at least from one corner of the terrasse and from the small kitchen-terrasse. And it was really big. Watch out for the glass door out to the terrasse, it was so well cleaned that it looked like it was no door at all. We had some small accidents with that door , but of course not a big problem. We were on Europs biggest indoor meat marked (so we heard), Acropolice, Agora, Zevs temple, and much more. We ate a lot of very nice food, greek salad and tzaziki every day with lamb and goat meat. I will reccomand this appartment absolutely.

A Short Athens Stay

Amazing Weekend

Our group of 7 college students stayed here in September and loved it! Costas the manager made us feel really welcome and gave us a mini tour to show us around. The location of the apartment is really central and the Metro and train station is really close even though it is possible to walk everywhere. The view from the terrace is amazing!! All the apartments facilities were exactly what we needed. We cooked a full meal both nights and enjoyed the Greek night life!! Really well air conditioned and lots of windows and balconies. The kitchen is fully equipped and the showers were amazing! The beds were really comfy and we really enjoyed our stay!

The appartment itself was light, modern and very clean, completed with details like fresh coffee! Fresh milk, water and wine in the fridge, shampoo and soap in the beautyful bathroom, even an european blanket and two topical german magazines! We stayed in this well-fitted apartment for 2 nights in July 2011. It is situated just a few minutes walk from the acopolis Museum, and the Plaka area which makes it an ideal base for exploring athens.

The accommodation, including the spacious balcony, was very comfortable and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We, and our teenage daughter, greatly appreciated the free WiFi and complimentary Korres toiletries. We look forward to staying in the apartment again on our next visit to athens.

An excellent alternative to a hotel stay, and superb value for money.

Very happy with apartment and the service we got. Met at the station as arranged (with ice cold drinks) and good restaurants/points of interest pointed out on way to apartment. Apartment was great, wifi, good kitchen bathroom etc. Offered tour of local area but declined as tired from travelling. Good info provided anyway and we ate at two of the recommended restaurants which were both fantastic. Brillinat location, easy to get from airport and to port. Acropolis, restaurants, bars etc all within easy walking distance. Excellent service.

Our stay in KR1 was wonderful. Our 16 and 18 year old girls loved it as well! It was modern, clean, bright, beautifully furnished and well equiped. The neighbourhood was beautiful, clean and quiet and yet walking distance to trendy restaurants, night life, the acropolis, markets, Plaka District. Lia and Costas of Boutique athens could not have done a better job getting us booked in, providing us with a neighbourhood tour we will never forget, arranging our taxi rides with Michalis who was so nice and relaxed all the time! Costas suggested things that we should see and do and were so glad we took his advise. The absolutely only thing I found missing/wrong was that we had to drink our wine out of juice glasses...Costas! Thank you for everything.

New, spotless, everything you need to settle in

My husband and I spent 5 nights in KR1 with our 2 adult children in June 2011, The apartment was just right for our family. Everything is new and in perfect condition. The kitchen was fully equipped so we were able to cook all of our dinners there. There is a small grocer on the ground floor of the building as well as a couple of small markets that are about a 10-minute walk. Metros and the archeological sites are also close by. We really liked the warm welcome from Costas and the introductory walk around the neighborhood that he took us on. He was also very professional and prompt in dealing with a minor plumbing problem we had. The neighborhood is quite lively and there is plenty of traffic on one of the streets next to the apartment, so we found that we needed to keep the windows closed at night to block all the street noise. Costas also arranged our taxi rides to and from the airport, and that also went perfectly smoothly.

Just Wonderful!

My husband and I just finished a wonderful 4 week stay at Boutique Athens. The apartment was excellent and all of our needs were met.

First, as soon as we stepped off of the Metro one of the property managers, Lia, was there to meet us. She guided us from the metro stop to the apartment through the winding and artistic streets of Psyrri. Lia was very knowledgeable and gave us a brief history lesson of the area. She was very helpful again during our trip when we were trying to spend a day at the beach. There was a taxi strike going on so she helped us to arrange a private car to transport us as we found the bus system to be difficult to navigate. Lia was always very responsive to any questions we had and went out of her way to make sure we were accommodated.

The apartment itself was very spacious - not what we expected from our previous travels in Europe. It had an adequate kitchen, a spacious living room, and a king size bed. The bathroom was also bigger than we expected and very comfortable. We had friends staying with us during portions of our trip and did not feel at all cramped in the apartment. There was a lovely balcony overlooking the courtyard from the third floor. We were also only one flight of stairs down from the rooftop which had a fresh herb garden and a nice view of the Acropolis. We spent several nights cooking out and having drinks and dinner on the roof while admiring the views of ancient Greece.

Europe's biggest outdoor open market was just a quick walk away making all of our grocery shopping very easy. There are two ways to get there - one a bit seedier than the other, albeit faster. The long way is more scenic but can be difficult if you are lugging alot of food back home with you. We opted to take the faster route several times and while we did not feel altogether safe we also were not bothered. I would advise against travelling this street at night though.

The area around the apartment is very nice and is located in the heart of artistic Psyrri. We spent many evenings strolling through the street from Psyrri to Monastroiki. The roadway has lots of good bars and the occasional fire breathing street performers. It's a good area to be in for night life.

Down the street from the apartment is the DaDa bar operated by Evangeli. We spent many nights here and became good friends with the staff and patrons of the bar. They made us feel very welcome and we will not soon forget the great time that EP

Stayed here with a group of friends and we were all impressed with the friendly, helpful staff and the apartments, which were spacious, clean and very comfortable. One of the highlights of the building is the roof garden, complete with a stocked frig. The location is very convenient for all of the major sights in athens. But in addition to being a great place to stay, the staff was absolutely fantastic. Due to an airline strike, we needed to arrive a day early, and our hosts were extremely helpful, finding convenient accommodations for 8 people at the last minute. They exceeded our expectations in every way, greatly easing what could have been a very stressful situation.

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. Because of a conflict in schedules, we did not get a tour of the neighborhood, but that is offered and would be very helpful. The location is great - out of the craziness but just a few minutes walk from the Plaka, Acropolis and the metro. There is a nearby grocery, cell phone shop, and cafes. This is a nicely furnished and comfortable place. The terrace is great and the washer very useful. The bathroom is nicely done if tiny and it is hard to keep it dry when showering. It is on a fairly busy street, but it is high up and has great soundproofing. Be aware that there is some bell ringing from the church across the street in the mornings, but it is worth it because it is a pretty building. You can only see a slice of the acropolis from the balcony. The kitchen is missing a microwave, but other that that is well furnished. The owners were very responsive in answering all question. We would definitely stay again.

We had a professional and friendly interaction from the experience with reservations, our transportation between the apartment and airport, our initial check in and the personal tour of our neightborhood. The apartment met our modern anesthetic desires, and the neightborhood was fresh with many restaurants. The apartment was within walking distance to the metro, and the heart of athens. My entire was made to feel welcomed. We especially enjoyed seeking out the graffiti artists, Sonke. I would seek either this apartment or another of the owners apartments for my next visit.

We are a group of 9 friends and go yearly on a citytrip in Europe. We stayed in the Boutique athens apartments for 3 nights in april 2011. They are the best apartments we have ever rented in all of Europe. We felt welcome even before arriving by all the details and explanations that we received by mail. Dean Hewitt was waiting for us at the metro station, brought us to the apartments, showed us around in the building and gave us our own private tour of the area with lots of tips that other tourists would never get the know. The apartments make you feel at home immediately. They are wonderfully decorated with design furniture and furnishings. The kitchens have everything and more than you need for preparing breakfast and even a multi-course meal. The bathrooms are better equipped than those in 5-star hotels. The beds are the best we have ever slept in (and we travel a lot). And then the roof terrace: it is wonderful to be able to relax during the day or after a busy day of sightseeing on this terrace with view of the acropolis.
Special kudoos to Dean and his entire team for always being ready and available to answer questions before our arrival and even during our stay. We will definitely be back to these apartments.

Our hosts booked a taxi for us and met us at the apartment, with an invite to go on a walking tour of the vicinity after we'd settled in. We loved the comfortable, minimalistic interior decoration and had everything we needed - including the modern essential, WiFi! Dean is a gracious host - giving us some entertaining info of life in the area and introducing us to the owners of some of the restaurants/coffee shops where we would get good service. A lunch in a Greek mama's kitchen was one of the most memorable experiences - fortunately she had a guest who could speak English and who could give inside impressions on the Greek news of the day. We can definitely recommend Boutique athens.

Perfect stay!

This trip was to celebrate my 60th birthday, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Dean was a perfect host and he and Maria made sure I was oriented to the area and to the subway! They also confirmed my trips and pickup points, and arranged a driver for a two day trip throughout the Peloponnese. I highly recommend the driver -- Michalis Ferentinos -- very reliable, very safe driver. He can be reached at [--].

The apartment was lovely and better than described. There was freshly ground Greek coffee ready, along with fresh milk and water.

For those concerned about safety: I found athens to be very safe (and why not? there were police on every corner!). I traveled the streets alone, and often late at night, and never had a problem, although as always you should keep your purse zipped up and hold close as you would in any large city.

Athens was a great place to visit, and a great base for traveling to some of the other nearby historic areas. I highly recommend any of Mr. Hewett's properties at Boutique athens; they are all well-maintained and allow you to live among the locals instead of a regular hotel

The apartment was in a great location to get the true atmosphere of Athens and to visit the sites by foot. On arrival at the apartment was meet by Dean, who gave us a tour of the neighbourhood and pointed out some fab places to visit, which we probably would not have found ourselves, along with recommendations of where to eat. The apartment itself was great. Well maintained, clean with all the facilities required. The roof top garden was lovely a definate plus! As a group of friends we have been to many places, but all agreed that Athens was among the top short breaks we have taken. This also had a lot to do with the location, apartment and the friendly people of Athens, including Dean oh and lets not forget Bella!!

We loved our stay. We are a family of five so we rented two apartments together and it was absolutely perfect. They are beautifully finished, spotlessly clean and everything you might need is right at hand. The owner could not have been more helpful and we sincerely appreciated the local tour as we arrived. Knowing all the best spots and being introduced to a few of the shop/restaurant keepers made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The neighbourhood is certainly a mix of old and new but we liked that. The roof terrace is absolutely amazing. All around one of the best holidays we have had as a family. Can't wait to go back!

We spend 5 nights in Athens and the whole experience was brilliant. We were taken by a local cab from the airport and delivered straight to the apartment where we were greeted by a lovely lady called Maria. She helpfully showed us around the apartment and gave us directions of places to see and visit for our first night. On top of that, a folder listing all the places of interest and food establishments was left in the apartment. It was accompanied with map and exact directions, so we did not have any troubles exploring Athens.

The apartment itself was nicely located minutes away from bars, restaurants and places of interests. It had all the required facilities, good sized rooms, fully equipped kitchen and modern decor. Views from the terrace were amazing, overlooking the Acropolis.

Throughout all the stay, the owners of the apartment were very helpful and assisted in every way possible. Special thanks to Dean, who helped us a lot.

When our taxi driver pulled into the street and stopped in front of the building our initial thoughts were that we had made a mistake in booking this apartment. Our fears were soon put to rest when we were greeted at the front door by the owner of the building, Dean (also an Aussie) and taken up the grand marble staircase to our top floor apartments. We had the top two apartments which were interconnecting. They were more than we had hoped for - very modern, spacious, recently re-furbished, sparkling clean and freshly painted white. Excellent. The roof top garden was amazing with fews of the Acropolus, plenty of seating and fully stocked bar fridge (all on the house). Dean showed us through the apartment and then came back an hour later and took us on a walking tour around the neighbourhood pointing out all the best places to go, where to eat and shop for groceries. Turns out our apartment was within walking distance to so many attractions and the hop on hop off bus stops. It wasn't long before we really began of love the neighbourhood. There were areas close by where you wouldn't want to venture into, and we were warned about them, but if you stick to the tourist routes and restaurant areas you shouldn't have a problem. I can highly recommend these apartments and if ever we go back to Athens would stay there again. There is no lift in the building, so if you have a problem with stairs it might be best to ask for a ground floor apartment.

We never write comments about where we stay, but we felt we had to this time. We stayed at this apartment in March 2010. We arrived from London at 10am and made our way by the Metro to the apartments. First we were welcomed by Nikki at the Monastiraki Metro Station. The train ride from the airport was inexpensive, clean and quick. We were amazed, as my train experience in Athens in 1994 was nowhere near as positive. On our way to the apartment, Nikki showed us around the immediate area, which we thought was magical. We took 5 minutes to get to the apartment, which is housed in a building with no signs or any indication of the beauty that was within. The apartment was sparkling clean, large and beautifully furnished. The roof top was unbelievable. Views of the Acropolis, free beer and wine, mature plants and big tables for communal dining and day beds for lounging around. This area was so much more than we thought we would find in Athens. The area is very near all of the best of old Athens nightlife. Bouzoukia bars, tavernas and old style Greek cafes are within two minutes walk. I could say much more. What I want to say is I can highly recommend the apartment the staff and the amenities and the proximity to all the great things of Athens.

Top apartments in athens

I am Spanish and had been asked to work in athens on and off for some months during 2009 and 2010.
I stayed at different hotels but finally chose to stay at the Ep16 apartments that are managed by the people at Boutique athens.
I wanted to let people know the apartments are very well appointed, super clean and comfortable.
I especially loved the huge roof garden with views of the acropolis. Many times I worked up there on my laptop while used the the buildings wifi.

I enjoyed the personal service that the staff at Boutique athens gave me. They helped me by keeping luggage that I wanted to leave when I went home to Spain, they helped me with any need I had. They arranged taxis for me, they even picked me up at the airport when I was arriving in athens at a similar time to one of them .

I enjoyed the area they are in as well. I could fo running in a huge park nearby called Filopapou which has great views over the acropolis and the Saronic gulf, I could always find a fun place to eat and to get a coffee. Besides touristy Plaka I strongly recommend Psirri and Gazi.

Overall I want to highly recommend the Ep16 apartments, the area that they are in and the staff who look after you so well.

An ideal base in the heart of athens

If you want a first hand experience of the heart of modern athens then this the ideal base. Located in a quiet backstreet in Psirri, adjacent to Monasteraki, it is the emerging Left Bank or Soho or Greenwich Village of modern athens; lots of bars, boutiques, restaurants and theatres.

The apartments themselves are very tasteful conversions of an old town house. They are comfortable, cool in summer and cosy in winter. Ok, the view from your window is not great but more than compensated by a spacious roof terrace with wonderful views of the acropolis. The cosmopolitan management team is very helpful, knowledgeable and most enthusiastic about their adopted city. I can't wait to return (for the third time).

The appartments are great, clean, well-stocked with goodies nice layout, art, comfortable beds. Howeger the district is a bit difficult it is very handy for nightlife, resaurants, clubs 5mins walk to monastiraki metro and direct line to airport, walking distance to the big central market and shopping and quite quiet. However, this is an area undergoing change and there are still drug takers in the streets nearby sometimes or homeless people. However a walk around in the day will show you where not to walk at night, If you want to be centrally located its great but if you are not used to a cosmopolitan big city atmosphere and being used to being street wise, this is not for you . If you want a modern home for a whlie and to be close to the nightlife then the view of the acropolis from the roof garden with the free ouzo/beer available this makes it a good deal

Beautifully renovated luxury apartments in an art deco building on the fringes of Psirri in a very authentic Athenian neighborhood allow the visitor to blend in with the city comfortably and easily.
